Previous Information

2019 is the time for our Triennial Board of Trustee Elections, and the (closing) date has been set for 7th June.

The Board of Trustees work together to determine the direction and future of the school, as well as being responsible for ensuring the school is performing well and meeting all legal requirements.  This is a hugely important role and one that requires its members to be passionate about Roto-o-Rangi School and motivated to achieve the best possible outcomes for our tamariki (children).

Does this sound like something you would like to be a part of?  Our school is a wonderful, diverse mix of backgrounds and cultures, and we like our Board to reflect this too.  There is no 'one type' of Trustee, and if you feel you could bring something to our Board then nominate yourself!

Nominations will be received up to 12 Noon on Friday 24th May 2019. A copy of the nomination form and an explanatory letter has been sent home to every parent eligible to nominate and vote in the election.  For further copies please click the link below or contact the Returning Officer Roxanne (Roxy) Leach in the School Office between 9am - 1.40pm.

BOT Nomination Form.pdf Parent Notice

Anyone can be nominated to become a BOT member but they will need to be nominated by a parent.  There are a total of five BOT positions available, with three current Board members wishing to stand once again to continue the work they feel passionately about.  These members will need to be nominated in order to re-stand.

Should we receive more than 5 nominations there will be an voting election.  Forms will be sent out after 24th May for parents to vote, with votes closing at 12 Noon on 7th June 2019.

For more information please read the  Parents' Guide   which explains what the Board of Trustees does, and why they are so important for our school.  More useful information can be found in the Community Member Guide below.
