Whole School Camp

Another successful whole school camp was held just after Easter. We all travelled to our local mountain, Maungatautari to enjoy the native bush. Whilst the Juniors explored the wildlife in, the Southern enclosure: kaka, tui and tiieke; the wetlands enclosure: tuatara and takahe, the Seniors were making the long hike to the rocky outcrop at Pukeatua Peak. Everyone returned to school to erect their tents for the night and were treated to a delicious BBQ dinner. The next day we were up early and off on another walk through the bush at Maungakawa. We were truly spoilt with the natural opportunities just a few minutes drive from school and town. We all enjoyed lunch back at school before heading home for a well-earned rest over the weekend.
