Tuakana Teina - May 2023
This week we began daily Tuakana Teina reading sessions. This means the more experienced readers help the less experienced ones with their reading 📚
Not only does this increase the amount of reading our ākonga / students are doing, it also builds connections and relationships particularly as they are working together in their 'House' groups. We have 3 Houses - Kiwi, Takahē and Kōkako. We think these photos warm the heart on a chilly day!
