Roto Speech Finals Night
Date: 31st August 2023
Time: 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm
Tonight the 3 finalists from each area of the school (Yr 1/2, Yr 3/4, Yr 5/6) will compete in the Roto-o-Rangi Speech Competition.
Speeches are held in the MP Room, with a 7pm start.
All visitors need to be seated by 6.55pm so that the first orators can begin at 7pm.
The order for the evening is:
Year 3/4 personal experience speeches (all about an important event in their life).
Year 1/2 poetry recital (learning a poem and bringing it to life).
Year 5/6 persuasive speeches (persuading us with facts / information and good oratory).
The top orator in the Yr 5/6 group then competes in the Cambridge Schools' Speech Competition.
