2026 Staff Changes

As the current year draws to a close, we acknowledge two valued members of our team who will be moving on. We extend our gratitude and best wishes to Deputy Principal Emma Williamson, as she embarks on a new chapter of her career and life. We thank Emma for her dedication and experience as both DP and Room 4 teacher. Tania Norton has been with us for a short time, and sadly her contract is coming to an end. We thank Tania for the aroha, manaakitanga and experienced teaching she brought to our kura during the past 6 months. 

Welcoming New Leadership and Expertise

We are thrilled to announce dynamic additions to our leadership and teaching team for 2026!

We warmly welcome Mr Zach Mercer-Bootten, who will step into the Deputy Principal role. Zach brings an expertise and forward-thinking approach to our school. He will also be teaching our senior students in Room 5. We look forward to introducing him personally to our school community in the new year.

We are delighted to welcome Mrs Joanna McIntyre, a familiar and vibrant local figure to the Roto-o-Rangi community. Joanna is an experienced new entrant teacher whose passion and energy will be invaluable as she guides our youngest learners in Room 1.

A strategic reshuffle of our teaching roles and classes is being implemented next year. We believe that purposeful change fosters growth, adaptability and new energy, benefiting our students and staff members.
